Quanah

Since I read 'Empire of the Summer Moon'* earlier this summer and enjoyed the heck out of it, I thought it fitting that I visit Quanah, Texas.  I think they get their message across quite clearly.  :)

*Empire of the Summer Moon:  Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History by S. C. Gwynne is a thoroughly researched history of the Comanche.  It is brutal in its detail but is a true eye-opener.  I was riveted.
