July of 2012, my friend Kelly lost her daughter, Megan, in a horrific manner. Megan was lured to a house under the pretense of interviewing for a job of assisting an elderly woman. Once there, her nightmare began. She was brutally beaten and raped. The assailant decided to not leave a witness so he beat her with a tire iron. He then decided to try to cover his tracks by burning her body.
Over the last year, I watched as Kelly tried and tried to continue with her life. She tried to battle the demons - the ones that haunted her every waking thought and the ones that took control of her dreams when she slept. She tried. And tried.
But those demons proved to be too much. Last weekend, Kelly took her own life.

Having gone through what she did....I really can understand. I don't know how I would able to wake up each day and pull through that heartache. Praying for Kelly's family...and for you; her friend. XOXO

OMG, I'm so sorry this happened to your friend & her daughter. I'm not sure I could keep on going either. This is just so horrible. Every parent's nightmare...
