Moving...again

This is the only bad part about life on the road. We are moving again tomorrow. So today has been filled with packing and loading the cars. As you can tell, I am in the middle of a break! We are moving from Hampton, Virginia to Banner Elk, North Carolina.

We have moved so much that the packing and loading is pretty much down to a science. A bit of advice for people on the move - big plastic tubs are the way to go! They are roomy, somewhat waterproof, durable, stackable, and are really useful at the new place (ie - they make great laundry hampers, when turned upside down they make great TV stands, etc).

Living on the road has really taught me just how little it really takes to live comfortably. Thankfully we don't haul furniture from place to place. It's much easier to rent when you move as often as we do - at least twice per year. We have been in Hampton since Thanksgiving of last year, next is Banner Elk (Where is Banner Elk you say? It is in western NC, close to Boone.) for a couple of weeks, then on to Knoxville, TN for the summer. After that, who knows?! Wherever the work is.

I am looking forward to riding my new bicycle on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our new place is about 5 miles away from it. I probably won't be able to go far considering that I am fat, lazy, wimpy, and there will be lots of elevation changes! I'll keep you posted.
