Are people in the media really that stupid?

If you haven't heard, there was a deadly shooting at a church here on Sunday. I heard the news while watching MSNBC. They had gotten someone on the phone that was at the scene and the host proceeded to ask one of the most ignorant questions I have ever heard.

MSNBC host: "...so now, I guess the question is, Did this man go to the church with INTENT to harm?...."

Crazed gunman: "Nah, I didn't intend to harm anyone. I just wanted to scare 'em."

or

Crazed gunman: "We been havin' a little problem with squirrels gettin' in and runnin' round while the service is goin' so I thought I would help out."

WTF? Of course his intent was to harm!! We may be backwards here in Tennessee but I don't know anyone that carries a loaded shotgun to church. It's not like he had to fight off a pack of wolves just to get there!!

Are the people in the media really that stupid?!?

I think they have to take a special class. No one could randomly come up with those types of questions..........

Oh yes they are. I think they have a knack for asking just the right question so we can sit around sayin', 'Hmmm, you think?'
