The Land of Internet Un-Connectedness

I am coming to you from the Land of Internet Un-Connectedness. So if I want to post, read blogs, check email, surf porn - I have to go the clubhouse at our little community to do it. Which is a real pain in the ass.

And my family is coming for a visit - arriving today! So it looks like posting will be slim for a couple of days.

But I am going to leave you with a question....

We are going on a road trip. We have infinite money, infinite time, and infinite health. So, of course, we are going to hit the high points like:
  • Visit the Grand Canyon - we will hike to the bottom and stay at Phantom Ranch and then hike out (I said we have infinite health!!)
  • See the Golden Gate Bridge
  • Visit Yellowstone
  • Visit Monument Valley

On top of all this, I would like to:

  • Hear wolves howl
  • Drive through a tree
  • Take some irreverent pictures (like picking Lincoln's nose at Mt. Rushmore or posing with the Washington Monument as if it were a penis)
  • See the northern lights
  • Watch the sun set over the Pacific

So, the RV is ready to travel. Where do you want to go? What do you want to see?

Oh, I would love to do all that you mentioned plus:
Niagra falls. Glacier national park. Vermont/New hampshire in the fall. White water rafting in Colorado.
Visit the city of Seattle.
When are we leaving?

I want to visit every state in the union. Did you say that we have infinite time? Anyway, I want to spend enough time in each state to discover what makes her tick. The list is too vast, but I can just imagine the wonderful time we would have......meeting all of our blogger friends along the way, of course!

Enjoy your family time. It's precious. And it usually lends itself to blog fodder!

Of all the places I've been over the years, I would love to go back to northern CA to the redwoods. We used to travel by motorhome quite a bit, and that was always my favorite. Niagra Falls was pretty too.

Suz - Those sound great! Niagara Falls is a lot of fun (even in February which was when Vol Fan and I visited there!!).

Ah, Glacier NP - driving the Going to the Sun road, hiking the Highline Trail.

I have often wondered if the photos of New England fall were doctored!!

White water rafting sounds like loads of fun! I have never been before!!

Yeah, Seattle with the Space Needle, that place where they throw the fish!!

Big Hair - I'm with you on visiting every state. I also would like to take this trip on the backroads - no interstates - so we can really get a feel for things!!

I am looking forward to their visit. I haven't seen anyone since mid-August!! We're going to Disney World!

Grandma J - We'll spend LOTS of time in northern CA. From the redwoods to the beautiful coast to Yosemite. I have always wanted to hike to the top of Half Dome!!

Thanks for the laptop tips! Good points to ponder.

I think you would make a fantastic "Living Goddess", Buffi. Would there be glitter?
