How gorgeous! When I can get mine to flower, it usually doesn't flower at Christmas either. But most of the time I'm just lucky to keep it alive. Glad to see yours is doing so well!
Those beautiful blooms remind me of my grandmother. She was CRAZY about plants! She had Christmas Cacti and Easter Cacti. Fortunately, I have sprigs of each. I hope they live...
She also had the most amazing Aloe plants you have ever seen. I thinned them and gave pieces to 10 of my friends....they are thriving. Grandma is in Heaven smiling right now:)
Hahahaha! Cookies, Cakes, and anything else designed for human consumption:) I could never explain how much I miss her. This will be our first holiday seaon without her...
Big Hair - Aw, I am so sorry! I think you are very lucky - my Grandma passed when I was 5. But I remember being up at the crack of dawn to go the barn with her to "help" milk the cows. I would take a coffee cup and dip it in the bucket for a drink!

Suz - Yep, you better get to work!
Desert - I have found that the trick - abuse! Let them get really dry and then water the heck out of them. Repeat. Repeat.
thats gorgeous. Do they make them in silk?
That cactus needs a calendar! And I believe you have a memem on queue! ;)
Oh, I love Christmas cactuses (cacti?) and yours is beautiful. It's officially Christmas!

Oh, that is beautiful!!
I used to have some of those - and some like that which bloomed at Easter. They were never on time. I think they were just lazy. LOL!
Well tell that cacti to do some of my shopping!!!

VV - Yes but they come with a fine coating of dust and pet dander.
VE - Tell me about it!
JD - I love them too. Especially because I'm not exactly prompt with the water.
Jay - I never knew there were types that bloomed at Easter.
Keeper - Wish it would do mine too.
Big Hair - Sounds like you might have inherited her green thumb. I bet she made good cookies too!
