What a diverse group of bands..... although many of them I'm not familiar with I do love Bruce Springsteen, Phish, CherryHolmes, Merle Haggard, Ani DiFranco, Beastie Boys, Jimmy Fallon and Nine Inch Nails!!! Of course if you have enough to drink you won't remember any them in which case just find a good seat and voila!!
If you can see Bruce - do it! He's such an incredible perfomer! NIN is great too!
I'd go for (cause I know you're just waiting with baited breath for my opinion):
Elvis Costello
Erykah Badu
Ani DiFranco
Zac Brown Band (LOVE them)
Have a FAB time!!!! I'm betting you're going to be finding some great new tunes........be sure to pass them on!
I hope, hope, hope to get to Ttown for this next year! Keep me in the loop for it.
This is going to be so much fun for YOU!!!
I like a lot of these bands...but my personal faves are:
Beastie boys!!! Al Green. Ben Harper. Bela Fleck is so great too. And of course, we all love the Boss!
Lucinda Williams...awesome.
David Byrne...cool!
I have a sort of crush on Jimmy Fallon...cute and FUNNY!
I am so jealous. Neko Case,The Decemberists, Lucinda Williams, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio and Ben Harper. Along with all the other suggestions.
See the Zac Brown Band---if you like country music...
Looks like you will have tons of choices. Take pictures and keep us posted.
That event just keeps growing.
Hugs,
Betsy
Have fun dawg!
Are you friggin' kidding me? And I thought we had it going on with Lunatic Luau...OMG.
Love Coheed and Cambria. LOVE.
Haven't heard of half of them.
I say Bruce Springsteen fo-sur. Too many others to choose from.
Have a wonderful time:)
That is quite a line up... I can't imagine how you will choose!
Definitely Bruce, so worth it!!
Out of curiousity I'd have to check out Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band! I'd also pick Ben Harper and Band of Horses.
My husband would say you HAVE to see Lucinda Williams.
My son, who has great taste in music would say, MGMT (my husband and I would see them too), Crystal Castles and Coheed and Cambria!
Have a great time!!
So many choices, so little time!
I think whatever you choose will work out well. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to music, so I won't even try recommending anything.
I have absolutely no clue who or what this is, but let me go out on a limb and say Heartless Bastards, and if that's too racey then, let's try St. Vincent.
Have a blast, no matter who you see :)
HOLY CRAP! Are there REALLY that many bands at Bonnaroo? WOW! Okay...here's who I would recommend: Bruce (obviously), Beasties, David Byrne, Elvis Costello, TV On The Radio, Girl Talk (a friend recommended him to me), Bon Iver, Gomez, Santigold, Grizzly Bear, Wailing Souls, People Under The Stairs, The Knux (I hear they are good!), Hockey (up & coming band), Phoenix. Damn...there IS a lot to choose from! Have fun!
Al Green, Snoop and Robert Earl Keen ALL IN ONE PLACE?? You must be going to Heaven!!!
Oh my gosh! It sounds fun!
Holy crap! That's a lot of musicians.
I saw Springsteen not that long ago...it was ok...I thought it would have been better. If you've seen him, pass, if not, go.
I'd go see David Byrne just to see what he's into these days.
I'd definitely see Elvis Costello!
The Decemberists are from my town...I'd have to go see them...
I'd so go see Rodrigo y Gabriela...they kick ass at guitar!
I would not miss Lucinda Williams
I'd probably go to Gomez and Citizen Cope.
I'd probably catch Brett Dennen too
Have fun!
Whew! Did you type all of that, or cut and paste? :)
Words cannot express what a great lineup this is! I wish I was going so bad, especially since Bruce Springsteen and the E street band is gonna be there. My whole family is a Bruce fan. I'm catching the special on them tonight on Fuse at 8! They are showing their Live in NYC concert AND making of their latest album, plus some music videos! Check it out
