Pita and I arrived in Memphis at The Manager's house on Saturday evening. We made pretty good time, considering we had to take a drink stop, a pee stop, a poop stop, and then another pee stop. Once we got our things unpacked, we headed to the Italian Festival. We ate pizza and toasted ravioli, listened to music, bounced in the bounce house, and ate italian ice. We finally made it home around 10pm - VERY late according to Pita standards!
We spent Sunday morning at Mud Island, which has a scale model of the Mississippi River. If you saw the movie 'The Firm', then you have seen Mud Island. It was where Tom Cruise took the train to, trying to escape his associates. We walked from Tennessee to the Gulf of Mexico. In Louisiana, there was a 'swamp' area that was planted with water lilies and different types of reeds. Of course, it was full of tadpoles and green slime. Pita was in heaven! On the way home, we stopped to see the baby bison at Shelby Farms.
A quick run through the sprinklers...and then Rooster joined us to go to the theater to see Up! The storyline was a little hard for a pre-schooler to follow but we really liked Doug!
Afterwards, we grabbed a bite to eat at Chili's and made it home around 8pm. In order to hurry Pita through her bath, we raced to see if she could finish her bath before I finished my shower. She won!
On Monday, we spent the day at the Memphis Zoo! Anne, the 24-foot python, was Pita's favorite.Pita is an aspiring photog. Just look at that form!
Even knowing which buttons to push to show her pictures to Aunt Manager.Check out some of Pita's pics!Do you think she knows how to work Aunt Woody? You just try to resist that face!On Tuesday morning, we headed to the splash park before the long journey home. What a wonderful trip!

It sounds like you had so much fun! We are headed out for our vacation on Friday, and coming home on the 21st.
We go to Omaha to pick up our youngest son and his middle daughter. Then we go on to Chicago to pickup my twin sister's granddaughter. From there to KY to the Creation Museum, then to the outer banks of NC, then up the east coast to Annapolis, and then a quick trip back to Chicago, and Omaha.
Our son graduates the 20th, and then we come home. I will try to post pictures of our trip too.
Vacations with family are the best!
Looks like you and Pita had a marvelous time. Love all of the pictures. By the way, you look GREAT...
Hugs,
Betsy
