When you get to Metropolis, at the Civil War park, there is a painting showing the battle that took place in Metropolis... if you look up in the upper left corner, you'll see Superman flying across the battlefield! At least he was in 1979 when we lived in Paducah, across the Ohio River from Metropolis!
BTW- Ventura to Corona is 112 miles. Do-able! Have a safe trip!

Sounds like a fun road trip. I just did 3200 miles zig zagging to and from Florida. Lots of bugs, rain, a few gators and a zillion bridges. Travel safely my friend.
