One Year

This morning, my friend Busy Bee Suz, has a post about looking back to where you were a year ago.  It sent me on a walk down memory lane.  It has been a trying year.

Last year at this time, Vol Fan and I were up to our eyeballs in learning about mortgages, home inspections, home buying contracts, etc.  We were purchasing our first home.  And it only took a year for the IRS to determine that yes, in fact, we are eligible for the first time home buyer credit!  The cash still hasn't hit the bank.....

Last year at this time, I was up to my eyeballs in doctors visits, xrays, MRIs, etc.  I was prepping for ankle reconstructive surgery.  And it has only taken a year for my ankle to heal!  I have a lovely scar and the muscle strength is still on the low side.  But at least I have all the parts in the right place:)

Last year at this time, Vol Fan and I were both gainfully employed, working for The Boss Man.  We were starting to be very afraid that a certain job was not going to pay.  Now Vol Fan is employed, just with another company.  I still officially "have" a job.  There just isn't any work for me to do and no money to pay me if I did!  Financially, we are OK.  The money that I earned was mainly for savings and for fun.  So no savings.  No fun.  But at least we aren't going backwards.

Last year at this time, we were worried about Dixie's health.  I still miss my friend.

How has your year been?

It's amazing what trials we all go through and come through. You have indeed had a rough year Woody. But you are strong and I love that about you. Nothing like a strong woman who can endure. I wont complain about the year I have had. I'm just gonna count my blessings =)

Yes, I know you have had your ups and downs this past year. I know your pain of missing Dixie. :( What I love about you is that you are honest about your life. I totally understande no savings no fun....:) but on the bright side is that we have learned to make our own fun. Blessings, love and hugs to you. XXX

Interesting what can happen in a year.... Last year at this time, you had no idea you'd be in CA now.... Crazy ---from one year to the next. One never knows, do they???

Last year at this time, I would never have thought that I'd have Knee surgery --since I had never had a problem at all. Gee---crazy!!!

Hugs,
Betsy
