Cold Spring Tavern

One day last week, our adventure began by heading north toward Santa Barbara where we turned and headed over the San Marcos Pass.  At the top of the pass, we stopped for lunch at Cold Spring Tavern.  And what a marvelous place!
Cold Spring Tavern was opened in 1886 as a stop along the stagecoach route.  Each successive owner has taken great pains to keep the building in their original state.

If you are ever in the Santa Barbara area, this place is really worth a stop!
We finished the afternoon with visits to a vineyard, an olive farm, and a lavender farm in the Santa Ynez valley.  A wonderful area to explore - especially if you have a designated driver:)
