A Visit From The Fam

Last Friday, Home Brew and College Girl came for a visit.  They picked the perfect weekend - sunny, 70s!  We started the day by visiting Camino Real Park to search for butterflies.  The monarchs come to coastal California to 'winter'.  The eucalyptus trees were aflutter with thousands of them!
Next we went to the San Buenaventura Mission.  It was founded in 1782.  We (meaning me) really enjoyed the gardens.

Next up was Serra Cross Park which overlooks the Ventura coastline.  A beautiful, beautiful place!  The sun was positioned perfectly for a dramatic effect on the cross:)
On Sunday, we went to the Art Walk in Santa Barbara.  We bought several Christmas gifts and enjoyed a lunch on the wharf.  We also got a kick out of listening to the sea lions bark as they jockeyed for position on the buoys.
On Monday, we headed to Hollywood.....
