It Sucks To Be On The Other Side

For years, Vol Fan has needed to have everything just so when he sleeps.  He has pillows for his head.  Pillows for his arms.  Pillows for his legs and feet.  He arranges and fluffs until everything is perfect.  Then, and only then, he can lay down to sleep.  If things are not just so, he wakes up with a backache.

Due to this ritual, I call him a princess.  While he is fluffing and arranging, I make extremely funny remarks about his tiara.  And his needing a footman.  Trust me, these comments are extremely funny.  I must be the only one that gets these jokes since I am the only one that laughs.  But they are really, really funny!

Fast forward to yesterday....

I have been having some weird heart rhythms going on so the cardiologist put me on a 48-hour monitor.  And I am glad for that.  But heart monitors make it difficult to sleep.  Wires.  Electrodes.  The bulky base unit.  Tape pulling your skin.

Due to all that, I couldn't sleep in my normal position.  And woke up with a backache.....

Although it makes sleep very difficult, I hope the monitor shows that there is no serious problem. I manage to fall asleep fairly easily, but always wake up with a backache.

Wait. Vol Fan needs to relinquish the pillow nest for you right now!

And, is there any room for me? Sleeping with these drains is killing my back, too.

When I was pregnant with the twins, I had a ton of pillows, one of which my husband called The Great Wall of China. Hee hee.

Hubby has a back problem --so sleeping becomes hard for him at times... I do alot of wiggling and changing positions --but I generally can sleep pretty well.

Right after my surgery, I had a hard time sleeping... That is the PITS... I feel so sorry for someone who cannot sleep...

Hope your heart monitor will give the cardiologist some idea of what is going on... Keep us posted.
Hugs,
Betsy

Ummm.. they only get worse as they get older.

I saw on Dr. Oz yesterday that there is a new procedure to go inside your body and detect if there will be any future problems with your heart, which is brand new but very effective. Maybe that's next on your agenda...

Haha! That's how I was after my surgery, below under my knees, pillow on my right side, pillow on my left side, it was ridiculous. I hope your heart starts behaving!
