Easter AKA The Day We Learned Our Family Is Filled With Cheaters

One of our Easter traditions is a spoon race.  We hold an egg in a spoon and 'run' a course in the front yard.  The first to complete the course without dropping the egg wins.

On this particular day, some of our family members showed their true colors.  And their dastardly deeds were discovered.  Although they did not seem the least bit remorseful....

Some chose to use the "zigzagging" approach to thwart the progress of other racers as demonstrated by College Boy on The Drug Dealer.  The "reach out and act like you are going to grab another racer" approach was also used by Home Brew as seen in the rear of this photograph.

Others chose to be a little more clever in their deception.  If you will look closely, you can see that this egg has a piece of tape wrapped around it - attaching it to the spoon.

Pita got real sneaky and actually put her spoon inside the shell of the hardboiled egg!

Even the smallest of racers was not above using fraudulent practices.  When I zoomed in on AB, you could see the piece of tape on the bottom of her egg attaching it to the spoon.

At least now we know and we can take appropriate measures for future spoon races.
