My Favorite Color

Through the years, I have been asked this question.  Such a seemingly simple question but one that I struggle with finding an answer.  I mean - are you asking me my favorite color to wear?  My favorite color of hair color?  Wall paint?  What?!?

I don't really have a favorite.  I love different colors in different situations.  So I usually just answer blue.  And content myself that the painfully blue skies of the desert or the myriad of blues of the ocean are beautiful and may as well be my favorite.  But I've always wanted a favorite color.  A real, true favorite color.

And on a recent trip home, I called Vol Fan and told him that I had finally realized what my favorite color is.

Sunset.  That is my favorite color :-)

Whether it is a blazing red-orange...

Or blends of pink and purple...

Or yellow and blue...

Or any combination....

Yes, sunset is my favorite color.  That it coincides with my favorite time of day makes it just that much better!
