Vol Fan and I celebrated our anniversary by going out for dinner at a very special place. Can't you tell by the looks of it?!?
It is called The Beehive in Albany, Texas The owners moved several historic buildings to this site and joined them together to create several dining rooms. It is a steakhouse that had been recommended to us by several people. We had one little snafu with the accented waiter not quite understanding our accented voices which resulted in us getting the wrong steak. But even still, it was delicious! One of the best steaks we have ever eaten.
Before getting to the restaurant, we encountered the biggest longhorn skull in the whole history of longhorn skulls!
We also ran across this cool sculpture. It is made of random metal things - wrenches, gun barrels, padlocks, etc. It was awesome!
We had loved to explore more but it was 107* so the A/C was calling our names!

Looks great... Nothing like a 'real' Texas Steak.... That is one huge longhorn skull....We all know that everything is bigger in Texas.. ha ha
Love the sculpture made from all kinds of odd-and-ends. Creative...
Happy Anniversary... Looks like you had a great celebration.
Hugs,
Betsy
It looks as if you had a great celebration, even with the 'accent' problem. The longhorn skull is unbelievable. Please keep those hot temperatures down there in Texas.
Now that's a big longhorn!
How was the food?
Happy Belated Anniversary!! xoxo
