The Thunder Rolls

Yesterday afternoon as a storm rolled toward Abilene - a storm that had already dropped golf ball+ size hail - I did what any normal, sane person would do.  Even as my phone sounded with an alert about a Tornado Warning in my area.  I did what any normal, sane person would do.  I grabbed my camera and went for a walk in the wheat fields behind our hotel.

It was totally worth it.

PS - Vol Fan was at work on the southwest side of Abilene and saw the tornado.  I never saw any reports that it had touched down.  :)

Great photo, Woody... You are definitely in 'tornado alley' there --even though, these days, tornadoes hit anywhere and everywhere...

We just got home from a week at Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Had a fabulous time....

Happy Mother's Day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Ahhh... West Texas is such a treat, isn't it? How long will you be there???? I'm driving again, which may or may not be a scary thing.
