Pita drawing her battlefield map
At the first stop, we got a little distracted playing amongst the monuments. But when your last name is Nutt and one of the monuments is a giant nut, it requires some play!
AB and Vol Fan sneaking up behind the soldier.
Fun climbing to the top of the largest monument. Can you see AB and Vol Fan waving from the top?
And then we remembered that Chattanooga is on Eastern time and we were still on Central time. So we skipped over the rest of the tour in order to get back to the Visitor Center before it closed, allowing the girls to get their Jr Ranger badges. :)
Note: For those with children, the Jr Ranger program is an excellent way to get kids involved with the park you are visiting. I was a little disappointed with the 4th-7th grade booklet at Chickamauga. It required very little interaction with the park but rather required reading the booklet and answering questions.

I visited Chickamauga many, many years ago, but I would like to go back some day. I love the picture of you three girls with the nut monument. I'm glad Pita and AB got their badges.
