A sad goodbye

I find myself very sad at the passing of Harvey Korman. I have many great memories of watching him and Tim Conway on The Carol Burnett Show when I was a kid. It was all part of our Saturday night ritual. It went like this......

After supper (something off the grill if it was summertime), my sister and I had to take a bath. After our bath, we would sit on the couch watching Hee-Haw while Mom put our hair up on sponge rollers. We needed those curls for church, ya' know. Then we would all watch Emergency! and then The Carol Burnett Show. If I was still awake, then we would watch Marcus Welby, MD.

I just loved when Tim Conway would do something off script and Harvey Korman would work so hard to try to keep from laughing. One of my favorite skits involved Harvey visiting the dentist, Dr. Conway. I can picture my Dad just rolling with laughter at the two of them. Such great memories. Such a great comedian - he will be missed.

The scariest thing is, I thought he was already dead!!! No joke.

I loved watching those shows too...

I have really fond memories of watching The Carol Burnett show as a kid. And, yes, my favorite too was when Tim Conway would make Harvey Korman crack up. I had never seen anything like that happen on TV before.

He will be missed.
