Those crazy college days...

[If this is my Dad reading, STOP NOW!!]

I texted a friend from college this morning. I hadn't talked with him in more years than I care to remember. But back in the day, we sure did have a lot of fun together.

Typical day, freshman year, University of Tennessee:

8:00 - Alarm goes off

8:00:01 - Shut alarm off and decide that I really don't need to go to that Biology lecture.

12:30 - Wake up, hungry.

1:00 - Finally awake enough to go to the cafeteria for some food.

1:30 - Finally found someone to go with me to the cafeteria.

2:00 - Finished eating, sit around talk about how I really need to go to class but since I've already missed one, I might as well lay out of the others, too.

3:00 - Decide to have an afternoon toke. For medicinal purposes only, of course.

3:30 - Others drop by to have one, too. For medicinal purposes only, of course.

4:30 - Hungry again. Head to cafeteria for some more food. Talk about plans for the evening.

6:00 - Decide to have another toke before heading out for the evening.

8:00 - Got sidetracked by a really rousing game of Trivial Pursuit but now we are ready to go.

9:00 - Finally, everyone is washed, dressed, stoned again and we head to Ivy's (All you could drink beer from 9 til 11 for $3)!

11:30 - Tell everyone that I should head home because I have class tomorrow and I really shouldn't miss it.

1:00 - Head toward home.

1:30 - Hungry again. Cafeteria is closed. Head to Gus's for the absolute best ham and cheese sub and fries that you could ever even hope to eat. But maybe we were just wasted.

2:00 - Sit around and talk. Solve all the world's problems. Meet other really cool wasted people that love those ham and cheese subs as much as me. Decide to go out with them tomorrow night - there is supposed to be a good band playing at Vic and Bill's!

3:30 - Finally make it home. Wish the room would stop spinning.........

PS - If this is my college-student niece reading this, this type of behavior is NOT acceptable!!

You had a lot more fun in college than I did! I actually went to class and did my homework. Things probably would have been different if The Surveyor and I had gone to the same college. Man - I LIVED for the weekends at NC State!!!

All that fun is why it took 11 years to finally graduate!!!

Oh my gosh, that brings back memories of my college days. But we crossed the border to Mexico for cheap drinks and danced our hearts out. :)

Ahhh, memories from high school. Although I was so baked I don't know how I recall so well.
That's why at almost 40 I am now in college. Couldn't stop the party long enough. LOL.

well, I used to be in a band and when I joined the group....I couldn't figure out why all these guys were always so giggly and hungry and why one of them always had a red nose (I thought he had a cold!) :) I definately could have used this plethera of information before then!!! I'm sure your dad is so proud of his little toker right now!!!??? One night after we played a street dance in my hometown, my mom made breakfast for everyone and our keyboard player who was always wasted says "Cathy, this stuff is great" he was eating dried potpourri that she had sitting on the table in a bowl!!!! :)
