More power to ME!!

Some people might label me as a peace maker.

Some might call me timid.

A door mat, even.

So, what I did at Wal-Mart today surprised even me!!

A lady in the next line over pulls up to the checker. The checker leans over and says "I'm sorry but this is the 20 item or less line. You will need to go to another line."

The lady says "Oh I don't have much - it just looks a lot because I have 4 big bags." And she proceeds to unload her cart. So the checker just sighed and started ringing her up.

So I turn and start counting her items. As I approach 20, I get louder and louder, ending at a very loud "27!". As I stare at the lady, I complain to the person next to me in line about "the nerve" of some people.

Of course, the lady acts as if she didn't hear me. But the checker had a big smile plastered on her face!

For those of you that have an abundance of self-confidence, this might not sound like much. But for me, it was HUGE! From this point forward, I am going to try to NOT keep my thoughts to myself.

Awesome! You GO!

I had an asshat cut in front of me at Walmart - his cart was filled to the brim. Apparently he was with the lady in front of me (her cart was equally full). Neither one understood why I was pissed. Morons!

You are my new hero! I would have been too timid to say anything. I AM the proverbial door mat. Things just sit in my gut and fester until I get an ulcer - or drink too much wine!! heehee! Maybe it's time to turn over a new leaf!

YOU GO GIRL!

WOOOO! This came up on another blog. Someone said that the checkers were required to take people in the "express" lanes even when they exceeded the limit.

So good for you. I've always wanted to call out people who go over. We're living in a society, people!!!

You go girl! I'm all about rules too...and am super pissed that I'm going to end up paying for people's bad decisions and buying houses they can't afford when I pay my mortgage and plopped down 20% like a good girl. Argh!

Sorry...a bit off topic.
