It was a perfect night - full moon and not a cloud in the sky. But it was c-c-c-cold!
And the full moon brought out some inner demons - some more apparent than others. Beware of Dixie, the Demon Dog!
Say hello to our little friend!
Oh, baby, those hamhocks feel sooo good!
Manuel, the head guy on Vol Fan's crew, made fajitas and his homemade green salsa! Yummy!
Pete (a guy that worked for Vol Fan years ago) stopped by with a friend. Pete was ready for action, having just turned 21 a week ago!
Everyone enjoyed few cold ones by the fire.
Early on Saturday morning, the pig is finally done. Vol Fan cooked up some eggs on the fire and everyone dug in!
It's bacon - I'm telling you it's bacon!!
Vol Fan - The Master Chef!
Yes, thank you, I'll have some more. I luvs me some pig!
At some point during the night, the toys were pulled out. Tractors, Kawasaki Mules, and a pond full of mud! Thank goodness Vol Fan was sober enough to hide the keys to the trencher!
Stockbroker Karl (the guy on the right) decided that he had had enough fun. Without saying a word, he grabbed his sleeping bag and went to bed. In the middle of the field! After the toys came out, Lawyer Garth (the guy on the left) was driving the BIG tractor when he saw what he thought was some trash that had blown into the field. He got a bright idea that he was going to run over it. Thankfully, Vol Fan was in the cab with Lawyer Garth and he realized that the trash was in fact Stockbroker Karl!
AB was not a happy camper when her favorite toy, the mule, was put up. She refused to leave it's side!
The one smile that I coaxed from Pita. Apparently she had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed!
Yes, girls! Of course, you can have some Copenhagen!
The Boss Man and AB with Dixie who was much less of a demon after eating about 5 ribs and a huge ham bone!
Soccer Boy showed up after a late-night poker tournament.
Just one more bite. Please just drop one more bite!!

That is one fantastic party!! I love roasted pig...just can't look at the poor beast. The few Hawaiian luau's I've been to, the pig was buried.
NOTHING beats good food and good friends! Looks like you guys had a blast!
I didnt see an apple in those hog jowls! Looks like a good time was had by all! Got any leftovers??
Ok, so how many of you really stayed up all night? Looks like a blast! Wish I had been there! I love me some pork too!
It looks like so much fun! I wondered about the apple too. Those little girls are so delicious. I would totally spoil them...do you?
Oh my goodness does that look and sound like fun! I wish I could have been there! I love pig roasts...been to many of them and they are always so much fun, plus it tastes soooo good! Glad everything went well and that that guy didn't get run over while sleeping in the middle of the field!
Looks like a really fun time. Dixie must have been in heaven with all those peeps to pet her.
Did you sleeep outside too? You are a brave woman if you did.
There are plenty of leftovers to go around - we put several bags in the freezer!
Only 3 people made it all night - Vol Fan, The Boss Man, and Manuel. A couple made it to about 4am. I was smart and went home to my nice warm bed at about 1 am!
OMG!!! What a FUN weekend!!! And lucky YOU, having leftovers to freeze. It only gets better with reheating.
BTW - Was there any of Manuel's salsa left? I could use a gallon, if you can spare it;)
Holy Cow! Or should I say, Holy Pig! That is a big pig! Looks like you all had a great time!
WoW! I want to be on your friend/guest list. You people really know how to *put on the hog*, so to speak. We have friends we do similar things with... and with all the toys, lol. I'm thinking we must be a lot alike. But, that might or might not be a good thing for you.
