"Let the rain kiss you.
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk.
The rain makes running pools in the gutter.
the rain plays a little sleep-song on our roof at night -
And I love the rain."
-Langston Hughes
I don't mind a little rain. But today, it just makes me sleepy!

It's coming this way! More of it!
"But into every life a little rain must fall"
Woody---We have it too--but we need it, so I won't complain. Think I will take a long nap though.
We have horribly high winds with this rain.. I hate the winds. Last night the windchimes were clanging so much, it was hard to get some sleep.
Take a long nap.. Okay?
Hugs,
Betsy
You would be blessed if you were able to take a nap o a perfectly wet day. :)
It started here this afternoon as I dreamed of a long nap...
I LOVE Langston Hughes and studied him in college and fully appreciate his genius and intelligence.
But this poem?
Makes me want to punch him in the face.
Rain makes me sleepy too. I'm ready for some warm weather--so I can lounge outside in the hammock!
It had been raining like crazy here...so much so that it made all the snow we had melt(which is a good thing)but all the rain along with all the melted snow has now caused flooding everywhere. Now that rain has turned into snow again...ugh. Sick of it. I love going to sleep listening to rain but when it's gloomy and raining, I don't want to do anything but veg out. In the summer I love running out in the rain and jumping through mud puddles...yep, I'm still a kid at heart!
This morning was the first time all year that I have welcomed the rain. Perhaps because it wasn't so darn COLD!!! Our community is reliant on wells, and the rain is needed NOW to get everyone through the hot summer months. We are fortunate enough to have an artesian well, but many of our neighbors are not as fortunate.
Take a nap for me, will ya?
I don't mind the rain either, a good thing since I live in Seattle. What I am sick of is rain at 40 degrees, that's just too frickin cold. When I think of spring showers I think of 55 degree rain. I'm not opposed to that!
PS: My word verification is lospot, interesting considering the mood I've been in.
