Don't You Just Love A Man In Uniform

I have often stated that I am sure my Dad made my Mom swoon.  Like for real, swoon.  Here is why....

My Dad is a farm boy from western New York.  He wanted to go to college but being a farm boy, his family did not have the money to send him.  After graduation from high school, he worked to put himself through a 2-year community college.  After graduating, he saw the Navy as a way to pay for the remainder of his education.

He was a pilot.  No sissy landing a jet on dry ground for him.  Give him an aircraft carrier with pitching deck!  This photograph is my Grandma pinning on my Dad's wings.

A man in uniform.  That is a jet pilot.  So yeah, she swooned.

But I bet my Dad did a little swooning as well.  My Mom wasn't too shabby either:)

They swooned.  This is the family circa 1962 with Bubbles.  Aren't they cute?!?
