Christmas Parade

Each year our town has an annual Christmas parade.  It is chock full of firetrucks and scout packs and beauty queens and floats by local churches and schools.
I have such great memories from childhood of being bundled up, sitting on the curb watching the parade.  Wanting to create some great memories like that with Pita and AB, we met up with friends to do just that!
Oboe was marching with the high school band.  Too bad, I was not exactly ready with the camera when he went by but I swear he is in that mess somewhere.  Can't you see the Santa hat he is wearing?
Giggles also plays the oboe but for some weird reason, the oboe is not a part of the marching band.  So she carried the banner for the middle school band.
Mr. Greg was thoughtful enough to bring glo-sticks for the kids.
Do you know what that look says?  Something like "Aunt Woody, are you ever going to stop taking my picture"?  Possibly.
Can you tell who thoroughly enjoyed this night?  When I asked AB to tell me her favorite part of the parade, she shouted "EVERYTHING!!!!".
And that answer made my day :)

It looks as if the parade was a big success, especially with one young lady. Crossville's parade is this coming Saturday. Unfortunately we don't have a young one to share it with.

It looks like so much fun! We never go to our since we have no kids in town... or anything else (like nieces, nephews, or grandkids)...

Sounds like you're having a grand Christmas season!
