Then someone told us about 'The Trick'. The photographees close their eyes while the photographer counts down. 3-2-1 and everyone opens their eyes and smiles. Voila! Good smiles. Open eyes. Weird but it worked.
Thanks to AB for taking that last photo of me and Bubbles with our Dad! The same Dad that might have gotten a little tickled during the whole eyes-closed-countdown part :)

HA---don't we all just love Family Photos. It's hard to get a picture of everyone 'behaving'.....
