We still have our land and plan to build our dream house eventually. But our current thought is that we are in a real good position to make a purchase. We have enough for a nice down payment and it is definitely a buyer's market.
Yesterday, we made an offer on a house.
So now the only thoughts that are floating around my brain are ideas for furniture placement.
And decorating.
And actually being able to park my car in my garage.
And having central heat and air (currently we have a wood stove and window ac units!).
And landscaping.
And.....

Beautiful house, but gosh that sounds like a lot of dough will be spent. Good luck if you don't mind being tied down. I wish we didn't have our house but yeah, we're stuck with it for now...
That said, since you're not having to sell a house in a buyer's market, this might just be a brilliant move. We would get screwed if we were trying to sell our house now.
