Yow---I heard that crap also!!!! Can't believe they did that. AND---they'll probably end up paying for all of the people who haven't bought those darn little boxes yet.. They'll probably even buy those poor souls a new TV.
Sometimes I wonder why we live our lives doing what we are supposed to do and paying our own way.. Now--we're going to have to pay to help those people who haven't done that. What has happened to this country when people now expect the government (and us taxpayers) to pay for them???? GADS!!!

I know, right? I was wondering the same thing last night. I wonder what the average intelligence is of an American...do you think it is higher than what the government officials think it is?
From what I understand you can get a converter without having to get a new TV. The converter cost $60 at RiteAid and you get $40 back from the government. I got that info from a RiteAid employee. I'm not sure why they decided to extend the deadline. Those ads are very annoying!
Makes me pissy too! They are dragging it out so that they can produce more coupons so people can get reduced costs on their new converters ... that we taxpayers will be paying for.
I didn't hear anything about it but of course I haven't watched TV or read the newspaper in a while. Maybe I should do that. I need to be up to date : ).

If you dont watch TV enough to realize that the damned conversion is happening, you wont miss it when you cant get a signal.
