Relief

4am - Phone call from Sheriff's office - The Boss Man is missing.

4:15 - Get details - He went 4-wheeling yesterday morning and never made it home. Sheriff's office called Vol Fan because his was the last number on his phone records. No one even knew where exactly they were going. They just went "up on the mountain".

4:30 - Arrive at The Boss Man's house to sit with Prima Ballerina. Vol Fan, the Sheriff's office, and LOTS of friends out looking.

5:30 - Daybreak - Still no word. More calls being put out for people that know the mountain and the trails. Still searching.

7:00 - Sheriff's office found the truck with trailer. No one there. But at least we had a starting point. More calls, gathering people with 4-wheelers. Sheriff's office gathers up their Search and Rescue personnel.

9:00 - Just as the search parties were gearing up to go, The Boss Man and the others in his group leave the woods.

Apparently, they had crossed a stream earlier in the day. And then it rained and the stream had turned into a raging river. They lost a 4-wheeler to the current, which caused them to think twice about crossing it. They holed up on the far side and waited for daylight and for the water to recede.

Everyone is safe.

Relief.

I'm so glad to hear everyone was safe. That was really smart of them to wait for the water to go down--it must have been really moving to wash a four-wheeler away!

Glad there was a happy ending. Was boss man surprised to see a crowd waiting for him?

I'm happy that all is well too! It can be so scary when we don't know what is going on, even when we know WHO is in control.

Blessings to you all!

OMG! that had to be a horrible experience. I'm so glad The Boss Man was smart enough to stay put and not try to cross.

I'm glad they are safe.

Thank God!!!! I am breathing a big sigh of relief. Wow! How scarey for all of you. They were wise to do what they did, even if it meant causing others to worry.

It's just like something you read about. Happy endings are always good, though.

What a huge relief! Something similar happened to my dad and brother when I was a teen, it was a rough few hours before they were found safe and sound.
